Privacy Policy

Franklin Logistics Enterprises Inc. (“Franklin Logistics”, “we”, “us”) operates a same-day courier service in Calgary, Alberta. This policy covers our website at franklinlogistics.ca and our online booking application at order.franklinlogistics.ca. It explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Canadian privacy law, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act.
Information we collect
- Account information — business name, contact name, email address, phone number, business address, and trade, collected when you create an account.
- Order information — pickup and drop-off addresses, item descriptions, weights and dimensions, special instructions, and delivery history.
- Payment information — card payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number is entered on Stripe’s secure checkout and never touches or is stored on our servers. We keep only payment references and amounts. e-Transfer payments are reconciled from the transfer notice (sender name, amount, and the order number you include in the message).
- Contact form information — your name, email address, and message when you contact us through the form on our website.
- Technical information — session cookies required to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How we use your information
- To provide quotes, book and dispatch deliveries, and process payments.
- To send delivery status notifications you have chosen to receive.
- To produce receipts and bills of lading.
- To respond to messages you send us through the website contact form.
- To review new account applications, provide support, and keep records required by law.
- To protect against and prevent fraud.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Text messaging
If you opt in, we send automated order-status text messages (for example: order received, driver assigned, picked up, on the way, delivered) to the mobile number you provide. Message frequency varies with your order activity. Standard message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message or by turning off text updates in your account settings, and you can reply HELP for help. Opting out does not affect your ability to use the service.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be sold or shared with any third parties, excluding the service providers who deliver messages on our behalf.
Service providers
We share personal information only with the service providers needed to run the application, and only for that purpose: Stripe (card payments), Twilio (text message delivery), Google Maps Platform (address lookup and driving distance), our email delivery provider (transactional email), and our hosting provider (servers located in Toronto, Canada). Each provider receives only the information required to perform its function and is required to keep that information confidential.
Legal disclosures
We may disclose personal information when we are required to do so by law — for example, in response to a court order, subpoena, or other lawful request from a government authority — or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with the law, enforce our agreements, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Franklin Logistics, our customers, or others.
Retention
We keep account and order records while your account is active and as long as needed for business and tax records required by law. You may ask us to close your account and delete information we are not legally required to keep.
Safeguards
The application is served over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Passwords are stored hashed, access to admin functions is restricted to Franklin Logistics staff, and driver access links are revocable at any time. That said, no method of transmission over the internet or of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
- Change notification preferences (text and email) in your account settings.
- Reply STOP to any text message to stop receiving texts.
- Ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information by contacting us below.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date.
